America On the Move Foundation, Inc. is a national, non-profit initiative dedicated to imporving the health and quality of life by promotin health eating and active living for individuals, families, and communities.

The eatng and physical activity patterns of most Americans hae become a cause for conern.  More than 60% of American adults fail to get the recommended 30 minutes of physical activity a day, and 25% aren't physcally active at all.  On average, they are gaining 1-2 popunds each year, with some gaining more.

With the YMCA's Activate America and America On the Move we are challengeing America.  We encourage everyone to make two small changes.
1. Take 2,000 more steps
2. Eat 100 fewer calories.
Over the course of time these two small changes will yield great results.

Do you need help getting started?  Visit the YMCA or stop by our open house on September 27th.  For more Information about our open house and events going on that day click on the Y at the begining or end of this article.
